Silom is one of the favorite areas for those visiting Bangkok looking for fun, or even for locals looking for a region with great restaurants serving international food. Located on the 37th floor of the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, right on Silom Road, Scarlett Bangkok is one of the best places to enjoy an incredible menu inspired by French flavors, giving you an amazing view of the city’s skyline. Lobsters, steaks, cheeses and a fabulous selection of wines are just one of the items you can find here.
With some good company, it is very worthwhile to arrive just before dinner to accompany the red sunset, washed down with a few drinks, great vibes and a nice atmosphere. As we are still in times when the sale of alcohol is not allowed, we were able to taste some of the mocktails. Green Goodness stands out for the freshness of the kiwi, passion fruit, green apple and lime juice. While Scarlett Sunset offers the moment mixing flavors of apple, orange, pineapple, lime juice, grenadine and cardamom extract. They all cost THB190, but at happy hour sunset, they all cost THB100, from 5pm to 7pm.
Cheese lovers will always be delighted also at Scarlett. The restaurant has a full list of over 100 kinds of French AOC cheese, from brie to camembert, comté, roquefort and many more. Selections range from THB310 (with two cheese options) to Scarlett Board (THB1720, with 5 cheeses, 5 cold cuts and 1 pâté). Also, choose one of the almost 200 labels of imported wines.
By the way, cheese is the main ingredient in the Burrata Tomato Rocket Salad (THB520), one of Chef Sylvain’s suggestions for starter, as well as a version of Caesar Salad served with half grilled lobster and anchovies (THB690). And you can’t talk about French cuisine without mentioning snails, can you? Here, they are served with garlic and parseley butter (THB680). The appetizer that caught our attention, however, was Le Crabe Royal d’Alaska (THB620), a King Crab served as a salad, with mango and a sensational avocado cream, which melts in your mouth.

We didn’t expect to be surprised by the homemade fettuccini. The one with Vongole (THB480) arrives at the table with a creamy white wine based and Atlantic Clams. One of the highlights of the night. Risotto lovers cannot fail to taste the signature of the house, with truffles, fresh asparagus and mushrooms, with rice straight from Chiang Mai.
Main courses also include the Scallops d’Hokkaido (THB1300) – served with Parmigiano peggiano and truffle cream – and the Tasmanian Salmon (THB820), with sautéed kales and a special ginger carrot coulis. Of course you can’t stop talking about the special steaks: Australian Angus (THB1150), Australian Wagyu Beef 240 Days Grain Fed (THB 1350), the 4-6 Weeks Dry Aged Australian Wagyu (THB1650) and Lamb (THB820) and Pork chops (THB790). All the steaks are served with potato wedges and homemade sauces, like black pepper, blue cheese and chimichurri.
Ending the night in a very comfy way, my tip is the Apple Pie (THB350), which delighted me with the sweetness in the right dose, filled with juicy apples caramelized with calvados and served with (yummy!) Caramel ice-cream. Another sweet option is the Raspberry Chocolate Tart (THB350), a chocolat sablé with raspberry mousse and fresh berries on the top.
